‘Our Lady Of Pillar Nursing Academy’ is owned by a Catholic religious nun sisters, “Sisters Of Charity Of St. Anne”, and managed by Our Lady Of Pillar Trust. The congregation was born in the year 1804 at Spain during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte, the Emperor who came after the French revolution. Our founders Fr. John Bonal and Mother Maria Rafols took the initiative to help the suffering humanity. They began their mission by taking care of the sick, wounded, orphaned and poor in the royal hospital of Our Lady Of Grace, Zaragoza. Gradually the sisters began extending their charity outside Spain in the form of small communities following the Charism of the founders Universal Charity (Love without frontiers), chiefly to the poorest and the neediest, through the practice of Hospitality to the point of heroism The congregation expanded its wings in India in the year 1951. Today we have nearly 60 center distributed in two Provinces in India, rendering services in the area of health, education and other apostolic and social work. Today we the daughters of our holy founders continue their mission with love and dedication to serve the poor, sick and most needy. The Trust has opened its branch at Sanand on 1st June 2013 with the motive of bringing changes at social, economic, health and education specially through the education of young girls in the nursing profession that will make them productive citizens and responsible members of the society to bring about health awareness in the lives of a common people .

Our Lady Of Pillar Hospital’ is 100 bedded, comprehensive health care center committed to serving the medical needs of Sanand taluka with quality health care services, irrespective of caste, colour or creed. ‘Our Lady Of Pillar Hospital’ is committed to excellence in patient care, Nursing education and community services. ‘Our Lady Of Pillar Nursing Academy’ has begun Auxiliary Nursing and Midwife - ANM course from the year 2015. This course is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Gujarat Nursing Council as well as permitted by Govt. of Gujarat to its purpose of nursing education. The institute began GNM three years course in the year 2017 which is also recognized by Government of Gujarat, Indian Nursing Council, Gujarat Nursing Council. In the year 2023/24 we began Basic B. Sc. Nursing course (04 year) . We are affiliated to Gujarat University. It is recognized by government of Gujarat, and GNC and INC approval is under process.

Dear parents, students and friends, It gives me an immense pleasure to record that "OUR LADY OF PILLAR NURSING ACADEMY" established under Sisters of Charity of St. Anne is serving to train nursing professionals with high standards and spirit of devotion and human touch. Nursing occupies the largest bulk of the health care force therefore, it is necessary to educate nurses in the context of sound educational principles. It is a great joy that I welcome you to OUR LADY OF PILLAR NURSING ACADEMY. We pride ourselves on offering a range of highly challenging and intellectually stimulating programmes aimed at allowing you to acquire and develop a wide range of knowledge, skills and competencies in medical field. The nursing Academy, nurse's hostel, parent hospital, staff quarters are situated in the same campus. The classrooms, laboratories and library are well equipped with the required equipment and books as per the Indian Nursing Council (INC), norms. The school has a dynamic principal and a group of qualified energetic, young and enthusiastic, tutors, clinical instructors and support staff. Clinical exposure also provided in the affiliated hospitals in Ahmadabad and Sanand. Practical for community health is provided in urban and rural villages Community Health Center (CHC) and Public Health Center (PHC) near Sanand. The motto of the institute is care, concern and commitment to the patient and students alike.
